Artist's Description

An egret (pron.: /ˈiːɡrət/) is any of several herons, most of which are white or buff, and several of which develop fine plumes (usually milky white) during the breeding season. Many egrets are members of the genera Egretta or Ardea which also contain other species named as herons rather than egrets. The distinction between a heron and an egret is rather vague, and depends more on appearance than biology. About Dick Botkin

Dick Botkin

Over the years, my cameras and darkroom got more complex, giving me more creative tools to work with. About 15 years ago, I traded film, chemicals, tanks, trays, and the smell, for a digital camera and a copy of Photoshop. I never looked back. My goal is to capture and...
