The domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris), is a subspecies of the gray wolf (Canis lupus), a member of the Canidae family of the mammalian order Carnivora. The term "domestic dog" is generally used for both domesticated and feral varieties. The dog may have been the first animal to be domesticated, and has been the most widely kept working, hunting, and pet animal in human history. The word "dog" may also mean the male of a canine species,] as opposed to the word "bitch" for the female of the species.

I currently live in Surprise, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Maine, where my interest in photograhy was discovered. I got my first camera, a Kodak Brownie, when I was six or seven years old, and I've been hooked on the art of photography ever since. A year or so later, I got my first processing and print making kit and I began to realize that I could be as creative, if not more so, in the darkroom than in the field. Over the years, my cameras and darkroom got more complex, giving me more creative tools to work with.
